2024 Annual Coat Drive
Collections begin Friday, October 4th - 18th
Coat Giveaway is Saturday, October 19th, 2024
From 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
PCFA Coat Giveaway
Adult and children’s clean, useable coats will be collected along with outerwear such as hats, mittens, gloves and boots.
Snow-pants are especially needed this year.
The bus will be located at Bill’s Party Store

GENERAL CLOTHING AND GARAGE SALE ITEMS ARE NOT BEING COLLECTED, PLEASE DO NOT DONATE THESE ITEMS.

Stuff the Bus
With the help of Portland Public Schools, Scott Teachout/Joel VanSlambrouck of G&B Poll Supplies, Ted Goodman of tag Detailing, we bring you once again…PCFA’s Annual Coat Drive and Giveaway!
Our coat drive will run
The bus will be located at Bill’s Party Store at 1153 East Grand River and will be the only collection location.
Adult and childrens’ clean, useable coats will be collected along with outwear (hats, mittens, gloves, and boots). Snow pants are especially needed this year.
PLEASE donate only coats and outerwear items. General clothing and garage sale items will NOT be collected.
The Coat Giveaway will be Saturday, October 19th, 2024 at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, 8867 Kent Street, Portland. Coats and warm outerwear are available to anyone in need of them.
Again - we cannot stress enough - PLEASE DO NOT DONATE GENERAL CLOTHING OR GARAGE SALE ITEMS. Coats and outerwear items (such as hats, mittens, gloves and boots) are only being collected. We sincerely appreciate your consideration, but we have no use for those items in our coat drive.
Other options to get a coat (coats and clothing are free of charge) is to visit the Portland Community Clothes Closet located at the Portland United Methodist Church, 310 Bridge Street.
Portland Community Clothes Closet is open Mondays, 9 am to 12 pm, and Thursdays, 4pm to 6pm.
The Portland Community Fund board members would like to thank everyone for their donations and help. We appreciate the support of our community. The coat drive and giveaway is one example of how generous and caring the Portland residents are.
The entire project truly is “Neighbors Helping Neighbors”.
